The Land Matrix

A set of data visualisations and a public online database on land grabbing deals.

The Land Matrix is a is a set of data visualisations and corresponding public online database on land deals. Beyond the initial database, it is also a crowdsourced project that allows everyone to contribute.

The Land Matrix was originally created by Tactical Tech for landportal. Offering different visualisations of the underlying database, you can choose the right one based on what information matters to you.

From these visualisations, you can access the data that you need, and find out for a specific country what deals they have signed, and who they have signed them with.

You can also find out which countries are the most transparent when it comes to their land deals.
