PATTRN: A tool to map events

A tool that can be used to collaboratively build a database of information that enables users to map and explore patterns in events, such as conflicts or protests, as they are unfolding. This visualisation platform can provide details of both individual events or the big picture through interactive graphs, charts and maps.

PATTRN is a tool that can be used to collaboratively build a database of information that enables users to map and explore patterns in events, such as conflicts or protests, as they are unfolding. This visualisation platform can provide details of both individual events or the big picture through interactive graphs, charts and maps.

It is currently under development by the research group Forensic Architecture.

Forensic Architecture worked with Amnesty International to use PATTRN in their pilot project to create The Gaza Platform, an interactive map of Israeli attacks during the 2014 Gaza conflict.
